Fun Scent Games is a six-week class that meets for one hour each week and is limited to 5 dogs. Your dog will learn fun games to search for food. This popular dog sport enables you to wear your dog out mentally, so it is ideal for active dogs, dogs with physical limitations or anyone who just wants to play a fun game with their dog. Dogs learn to systematically search boxes and other objects for hidden food. The level of difficultly increases each week and it is fascinating to watch the dogs catch scent and make a find. Dogs and parents give this class a very high rating for fun!

The course fee is $135 for 6 weeks. NOTE: fee is non-refundable. There are no makeup classes for any that are missed.

There is no prerequisite. Dogs must be safe around other dogs and people.

Items to Bring:

• Back clip harness

• Nylon leash, non-retractable

• Small tasty treats

• Favorite toy

Puppy Kindergarten

CURRENTLY ENROLLING!

Enrollment is revolving, enroll at any time. No need to wait several weeks to get your puppy started. You can start as soon as you enroll. Classes are held Thursdays from 6:30 - 7:20 PM at BestFriends Veterinary Clinic, 10904 57th St NE, Albertville, MN 55301. Masks are optional.

In the Puppy Kindergarten course, we will focus on body handling, coming when called, play biting, practice vet exams, novel sounds and objects, plus more.

The course fee is $150 for 6 consecutive weeks. NOTE: fee is non-refundable.

This course is for puppies 12 weeks and under at the time of enrollment. Puppies are required to have received their first round of vaccinations 7 days prior to the start of class as well as their first deworming. These guidelines follow the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior “Puppy Socialization Position Statement”.

This class starts on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Classes will be held Thursdays from 6:30 - 7:30 PM at BestFriends Veterinary Clinic, 10904 57th St NE, Albertville, MN 55301.

In the Basic Manners course, the featured behaviors that we will focus on are, sit, down, come when called, leave-it, hand-targeting, walking on leash, focus on handler, and wait.

The course fee is $150 for 5 weeks. Class dates are 5/28, 6/4, 6/11, 6/18, and 6/25. NOTE: fee is non-refundable. There are no makeup classes for any that are missed.

For dogs and puppies over 16 weeks of age at the start of class.

Advanced Manners

This class starts on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Classes will be held Tuesdays from 6:30 - 7:30 PM at BestFriends Veterinary Clinic, 10904 57th St NE, Albertville, MN 55301.

In the Advanced Manners course, the featured behaviors that we will focus on are, “go to mat”, heel, stay, calm greeting, rocket recall, and more.

The course fee is $150 for 5 weeks. Class dates are 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30, and 5/14. There is no class on 5/7. NOTE: fee is non-refundable. There are no makeup classes for any that are missed.

This course is for dogs that have completed the Basic Manners course.

Items Needed:

• Six-foot leash, non-retractable

• Flat collar, head collar, or harness

• Small tasty treats

• A floor mat or blanket
